In this episode of Turning Lemons Into Lemonade, I spoke with fitness marketing expert Kelly Coulter. Kelly talked about how she started her business as a web developer and graphic designer. She found one of the key struggles in business – in how to juggle client acquisition with client fulfillment. She experienced what we all have at some time in a new business – times of feast and times of famine. At one point, she had been so busy servicing clients that she stopped marketing – causing her income to dry up and doing the thing we all dread the most – going back to get another job!
She realized quickly that going back to corporate wasn’t for her – and decided that she had to burn the boats behind her and go all in on her business. She also realized she was leaving a lot of money on the table by not offering more services to her best clients. So she started to expand her services beyond web development and SEO to include all elements of digital marketing.
